well if you are going turbo then the bigger the better. if you got the money titanium exhaust is cooler, but you dont need it really just get something big.

you want loud?
I'd say a 3in Straight Pipe but its probably not JDM enough unless it has Hot Road or Dart Izumi stamped on it.

if your not looking for a loud one then go with hks, thats what i have and its not loud at all, other wise the apexi. even if you want a 3in and dont have a turbo then it will still work for the ka.

I'd go with the N1 Dual exhaust personally from ApexI

20-30psi eh? Go with the GT spec. One of the KA-T guys runs a N1 with 20+psi of boost from a SC61. I also run a N1. Good exhaust IMO. But with a turbocharged engine, the bigger the better. Even with the huge N1, it won't be extremely loud. Most turbocharged engines are actually pretty quiet. If it is too quiet for you, just do a externally dumped wastegate.

Another thing...
I, amongst many I'm sure, have a hard time believing you are building a full race engine when you ask what exhaust you should get. Sounds a little fishy doesn't it? Esp when you don't really specify what you want in an exhaust. Lightweight, power, looks, sound, what?

i can build a motor no problem.....i have about 2500 invested in my bottom end alone...i was just wondering which one is the best...you dont have to be a shit head about it...it was a question because i dont want a system that is gonna rust...another reason i asked u about what kind to get, is because every company says that they have the best exhaust...and the only way to really know is from ppl who have had the product, or have known someone who had it...shithead

well, if you dont want rust, then just buy any stainless exhaust, most of em are t-304 stainless, and theyll last as long as you have the car. i have the 3" blitz nur spec-R catback with test pipe, and it sounds damn sweet, im trying to get vids of drive-by's for sound clips, just waiting for the weather to clear up, and oh yeah, its pretty loud.

2500 just in the bottom end.....hmmm tell us what exactly your doing. What engine do you have first off? Why not just do the open pipe idea that RW mentioned, cuz it sounds like you are going to be Mr. racecar driver. But still it seems you should no exhausts a little bit better, i mean your worried about rust??? Any respectable company shouldnt rust out, or just get it coated. I see fanats point, cuz i too was thinking just another 16 year old with high hopes. But i (we all) want to know exactly your full setup as of what you actually have done and in your possessions. Cuz i mean if your just going of your dreams, well were all right there with you. We all are in the middle of 30 psi setups.

for turbo i would say get a 3 inch straight pipe if emissions for your state allow it
i had a 3inch with a megan racing muffler, nice sound except that it was loud as shit

where did you find that HKS in 3.45" piping...i was going to get it but i could only find 75mm piping? I got the Apexi 3" N1...i think loudest exhausts are Apexi GT-Spec 3.74" piping or the Blitz Nur-Spec. My N1 is pretty loud once you get it going...its real quiet at idle...i love it...doesnt even sound like you have an exhaust

does anyone know about the Apex N1 Duals from experience, i dont want them annoyingly loud when im just driving normal, but it can be loud when i get on it. i cant find any clips i have been looking for awhile....i dont want a fart can sound, im afraid im gonna buy an exhaust and hate how it sounds which would be a waste 500 bucks...
also is apex N1 Duals good with NA applications b/c i want an exhaust, then im gonna save for turbo, but i dont want to have an exhaust for 6 months that i hate while im waitin for turbo...
just askin if anyone knoes about it from experience and how it works with an NA motor... tax returns and stuff comes soon and im lookin to get exhaust, is Apex N1 Duals a good idea?

the dual n1's are probably right in the middle... not too loud .. not too quiet. That's probably why it was pretty popular a while back. If you want something that's more quiet during normal driving the greddy sp, the rs*r exmag (w/ turbo setup), and the hks hiper... also the medallion (i'm not sure since i've heard different things from different forums).
usually turbo setups will deaden the sound due to use of the exhaust gases. I'd personally choose the rs*r if i had a ka-t or sr.

85mm= 3.35"
And IMO the Hi-power is a waste of money. Its not even full SS and its more than 500$. I would pick up an Apexi N1 dual, single, or the im also thinking about the turbo exhaust from boostdesigns. Only 400$ and its full SS 3" piping. It also bolts up perfect since its also made for the KA-T...

Go for the single. I think a 3" straight back pipe would work. And it would be cheap.

ive heard the RS*R exmag sounds really good on turbo cars, puts out a nice deep sound.

I tried ordering the exmag but i couldn't find it any where, instead i had to go with the hks and spent almost 600$ including shiping. if you just go to a good muffler shop than they can probably make a 3inch pipe for you, and to keep out the raspy noise of a straight pipe you could add a cheap resonater into the piping.

Look, turbocharged cars really don't have a raspy sound. Especially not cars fitted with smaller turbine sections(T3s or T25s). So get off the bad sounding exhaust on a turbocharged car.
My advice and expirience, go with the Apexi N1. Cheap, buy the silencer for NA, and take it out when you turbo. Very simple.
