my check engine light came on today so i went to autozone and had them test it.. they came up with a P1400 code. i called the dealership and they wont tell me really. they just say to bring it in. I have learned my lesson from that! no way i am doing that.. has anyone else had this problem?? it something with emissions. any help would be great, can i fix it myself?

Yeah, when they pull the codes, it should tell you more than just the number. There should be a short description of what the problem is. For example, when I pulled the codes off my sister's Eclipse, it gave me "P0442: Evap-Emissions control system leak (small)" Still not a lot of help but there was a little bit of description.

It's the intake manifold pressure sensor.

Yes you can fix it yourself. Around $125 part #MD305600

It's located on top left of the plenum held down by two bolts. Look for that part number. It's black lettering, on a little white piece of paper, located on the sensor.

Any other questions?

Yes, very easy access. Here's a picture of the sensor when it is removed. The plenum is the grayish looking thing.

To purchase the part, go here.... http://www.mitsupartsdirect.com/
Sign up and let them know you are part of www.3si.org (That gives you a 20% discount)
You can get the part for about $96 instead of $120.

You could also try the dealerships around you but I'm sure they'll charge $125+.

EDIT: Just so you don't worry, I've had the P1400 error for almost a year now. I never felt the need to change the sensor. :p Although, recently, it pulled up another code. 0400 which is the EGR. So I'd say try and get the sensor fixed within a few months or so. It should NOT effect performance. Good luck.
