I need help fast!

The heater blower motor turns but very little heat comes out.

The motor can be heard changing speeds so thats not it.

I suspect the vents are not opening all the way.

I need specifics as to what to check and exactly where they are..
The haynes manual has nothing about this.!

Is there some picture somewhere that would show an underdash view of the heater pieces?

I know theres a door actuator ,but have no clue as to where it is,or how to test if its working properly.

Do you have automatic electronic temp control or manual? If manual, there are vacuum actuators, if automatic, there is a blend door.

It is located on top of heater plenum under the dash. You may be able to remove glove box and see it. The easiest way to test it is to close all doors, turn off everything in car, wait for all warning bells and buzzers to stop. Turn heat/cold knob both ways fully and listen for a small electric motor to hum. When the door goes all the way to cold or hot, you will hear a dull thud. Hope it helps.

Ok, so I would have the manual temp control type if I have a temp control knob on the dash?

Or is that not an indication ?

The amount of air passing into the car has slowly been going down for quite awhile, then its gotten so little now,its almost nothing.

To check door,am I going to have to tear almost all the dash apart?

And is there some diagram somewhere that will tell me where all this stuff is?

Thanks for the reply.

By the way,the fan sounds like its really pumping,so thats prob not an option as to the trouble.
