97 E-150, Control arm/Ball Joint

Hey, Hey,
New to the site, sounds real cool from what I have seen so far. I want to change my Lower ball joints on my 97 E-150 Econoline. Someone told me I would have to replace the comtrol arm also. Anybody know the truth?

That's a lie, I replace ball joints all the time, and have NEVER seen one where you need the control arm as well.
