runs like a bag .... sometimes

no matter what the temp is, engine load(does it in neutral) or anything else that I think might affect it the engine will develop a miss that is so bad thet the truck will slow down. It is almost like it is beeing turned off but it does it from time to time sometimes so bad that when i stomp on it in neutral it will not rev above 2000 rpm adn will backfire something terrible so I dont think it is a fuel problem there is no engine code coming up so I dunno anyone else had this happen and what was the prob?

i would check your fuel pessure

yeh that definatly sounds like a fuel problem. if ur truck is older (75k+) i would say most likely the pump cuz they dont last forever.

Could be a dirty fuel filter, could be in need of a tune up. I am leaning towards tune up (which includes a new fuel filter :biggrin: )...........just a thought.

go get your computer scanned...itll either say fuel pressure reg or fuel pump. my 2 cents
