spark plug gapping

Just wondering what I need to gap my spark plugs to on my 2000 EX. Is it easy to do, are they easy to install? Thanks...

just get bosch +4's they dont need to be gapped, and they are some of the best plugs out there, its an easy job
wait for engine to cool dowm, two hours
unscrew off the black plug wire
take a loooong ratchet, and take em out.
then reverse. 19 ft/lbs i think

well to answer the question u asked, 1 mm. that is the honda service manual spec. honda also says to use ONLY NGK or Denso plugs. crap i know it's NGK and i believe the other is Denso, but not 100%. either way u can get them right at the dealer for about $4-6 a plug. so u'r looking at $16-24 for the right plugs for ur car. not a bad deal if u ask me. and yes they r easy to install. as a caution since u sound new to this. do one plug and plugwire at a time. that way u won't get the plug wires in the wrong order (unless they already r) yeah u should also pick up a set of plug wires at the same time u get the plugs from the dealer. a set of wires w/ the "spacers/holders" is about $40. so u'r looking between $56-70 for the best plugs and wires u can get for ur car. again, not a bad deal. as for tightening them down, since u prolly don't have a torque wrench a torque spec is useless, but should be done. just slip the plug into the plug socket and, w/ an extension or two on the socket, tighten the plug down w/o the rachet finger tight. then snap the rachet on and got a quarter turn more. if it feels loose (u can unscrew the plug w/o the rachet) then try another quarter turn. if u over tighten them, u can strip the threads or even bust off the plug. so thats y it's finger tight w/ a qaurter turn more.

.039 -.043with NGK zfr5f-11 is where you should be at. pre gapped bosch or any other equivelant plugs will do.
