Changing Front Brake Pads

I bought original Pontiac front brake pads and put them on today. I had no problem putting them on, however after I was done and test driving the car I noticed that the brake pedal goes pretty much all the way down to the floor( before it was a lot stiffer). I checked the brake fluid level and it's fine and there is no brake fluid leaking. What could be the problem??

K, first is it may be your caliper pistons haven't fully engaged the pads to the rotors yet, or that the pistons are stuck and won't come out of the bore, or most likely, when ya replaced pads, you didn't bleed the brake outs well and there is still air in the lines.

Did you put on new rotors? If not, did you machine your old ones?
That may be your problem.
That may be your problem.

Your brakes need a good bleeding. Start with the back right, then back left, then front right, then front left.
