Oh? It was a dream, eh? Just like that dream where you get a GT? Or the dream where you race me and win? I'm not sure what the top speed is...but like I said, I've been every bit of my speedometer...

Sorry to touch an open wound. Hopefully you'll be able to afford it soon. Good luck on getting low 14s though.

I own a regular Saturn Ion QC at around mid 16s. I'm trading my car in for a 200 hp 05 Saturn Redline. Aftermarket is making this car hit 272 hp, so it's worth my wait to see it in action.

Underdrive pullies will net you roughly 7-8 RWHP.
This is a mod I am yet to do, but probably will with the new motor. I don't recommend them on a daily driver. Underdriving your accessories on a daily driver can cause some problems.

Red 1989 Chrysler LeBaron GTC Turbo II:
Mods:
K&N Filter
Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch
Best ET:
14.6 @ 98MPH
EST power:
I would guess that the car with the extra 2 PSI was probably running at close to 200 HP and 220 - 225 ft/lbs of torque.
The car was totaled a while back and I've been told it was a factory freak by other turbo Mopar owners. The car ran at 14 PSI stock and they have told me that most TDs don't run over 12 PSI stock.
Silver 1989 Chrysler LeBaron GTC Turbo II:
Mods:
Konig Reason 17" x 7" wheels.
Falken Azenis Sports 225/45 17".
Mods I am doing this spring:
Grainger valve (manual boost controller) set to 14.5 PSI.
First gen DSM bypass valve modded to hold 30 PSI.
Battery re-location with red-top Optima battery.
Ground Control front coilover kit. Koni adjustables with Einbach springs @ 300 pounds.
Koni rear adjustable shocks with custom wound springs @ 350 pounds.
Best ET:
Haven't run it, but stock it should run mid to low 15s.
Power rating:
Stock they rate these at 174 HP and 200 - 210 ft/lbs of torque. I find that to be conservative.
The car is running like crap right now but that is probably due to the fact that the last time I had to fill up the tank was when got back from Ohio with it last June. I also want to pull the spark plugs and see if any of them are fouled or what else might be going on in there. I am just going to replace them and the wires this weekend along with the alternator which I think has gone south as well. I also need to track down a pesky vacuum leak and I would also like to finish up the brake system this year.
1998 Chrysler Sebring LXi:
Mods:
Bone stock and staying that way.
Best ET:
Who cares? Its a slow car.
Power rating:
They say it has 163 HP and 170 ft/lbs of torque. Let's just say that it shows.
The car isn't fast, but it isn't the slowest car on the road either. It is my daily driver and I bought it because it gets good gas mileage, it looks damn good, it is comfortable, and even though it isn't that fast it stays pretty stuck to the road in turns.
I have been thinking lately and I have been browsing the VR4/Stealth boards looking for advice and tips, but I have made up my mind that my next project car will be a Twin Turbo Dodge Stealth. After driving one my friends TT Stealths last year I can't get the car off my mind. His wasn't stock but had he gone with some bigger injectors and had the car properly tuned it would have been a lot faster. Let's just say his car almost scared me.

You're right!!! I do have alittle catching up to do. Hey, we could always go motor to motor, though. Since I've decided on running a stand alone system(thus running 110 octane with the nitrous), I've decided I'm going to step up to at least a 125-150shot, instead of the little weak 75-100shot I originally planned on. It's time to get serious about this stuff. :naughty:
We've measured out everything for my four link/coilover setup, and I've getting all of the info on swapping over to the f.a.s.t ls6 intake setup. I'm going to hit 11s on motor, one way of the other!!!
bad360rt- Are you caged yet? I've been trying to decide on the best way to run a cage. 11sec vehicles are "supposed" to be caged, and I'm afraid I might catch some beef about it at some tracks! :banghead:
I hope you're like me and not going to stop until you hit 10s!!!!
Here's to the trucks!!!

Slowprocess: A friend of mine used to have an S-10 that was a race truck, and it had a full cage, along with all the safety stuff I have to have (his truck ran 6.70s in the 1/8th, which is pretty much what my car will do). The best I can remember, he had the main bar going up and around hte rear window (if you can picture what I'm saying), then a bar came off of that and sloped down at an angle and went where the door is and was welded to the frame (outside of the cab). He also had bars goign all around the roof of the truck, and then two bars that were welded to the main bar and went out of the rear window and into the bed (welded to the frame, and it was a tube frame BTW).
Anyways, his cage was basically just like a typical cage you see in any track car (didn't have a halo, but niether do I), just made for a truck cab instaed of the inside of a car.
And according to the IHRA rule book, you technically don't have to have a roll cage untill you get faster then 11.49 in the 1/4 and/or if your floor boards/firewall are modified and/or you go faster then 135 mph. However, some friends I have that race at 1/4 tracks say alot them make you have a cage at 11.99. Either way, if or when you go 11.49 in the 1/4, you pretty much have the same rules to follow taht I do (you wil lhave all the same rules i have to go by if you go 10.99 in the 1/4 or 6.99 in the 1/8th).

Nope, not caged yet, not gonna do a rollbar until I do the forged 408 and I'm running 10's. Not worth all that cutting if I'm only running low-mid 11's (which is what I'm shooting for on the new setup that I just got running yesterday, woohoo!!!). I'll have some all motor numbers in a couple weeks after the new shortblock is broken in. Gonna dyno it and hit the track before I put the blower back on, just wondering how much I'm gaining from the blower :) I'm not expecting much from my all motor numbers, my setup is gonna be a dog down low without the blower, too much flow, but we'll see what she can do. Oh, and ChevyTrucks already said, you don't need a rollbar till 11.49 now, so go for it!!!

No injectors or any type of fuel management? Don't tell me you forgot to list that stuff but remembered all that sparco shit. And HKS charge pipes with a greddy intercooler? A racing flywheel with a stock clutch? Which SR20DET? No upgraded exhaust system? Seems a little un-smart to do all the stuff you listed before getting a larger exhaust or intake wouldn't you say? I'd feel much better with some pics of this. Until then,

what are you seeing from those pulleys? im thinkin about investing in a set of them myself
I believe there are 2 accessory drive pullies, but i'm not sure. I only changed one. With our cars you really don't feel 5-10 whp. I mean the only time I felt a diffference on my old 2000 Z28 was when I added the dope. The pulley is a great mod though, since it's known to increase gas mileage. I bought the SLP U/P for a little over $200 on Tbyrne. I'm happy with it thus far. Now I need to practice launching my car. I'm gonna try riding the clutch.

Not to mention the fact that if you look at his profile, he's 15 years old.
The order in which he listed his mods is pretty weird too. I guess a BOV must be much more important to him than his sr20 swap. Also notice how he has a sparco shifter. Sparco doesn't make shifters. Shift Knobs, but not shifters. He also has a body kit and rims, but no suspension mods at all? (ie, lowering). His car must look and handle like shit. All that power and no LSD?

Jeez. Well I didn't even know what an SR was when I was 15 so I guess he's doing ok.lol But seriously, don't front man. Telling the truth always prevails. I don't care what situation you're in, if you tell the truth, I guarantee things will work out in a much more positive way than if you were to lie.

The alter ego strikes again. "Oh they think their smart? I'll show them buy researching better this time!!!" Your civic is BS until you get some convincing pictures. Anyone can put up a picture of a turbo civic so put something in the picture (like a piece of paper with your AF name on it) to prove it.

From 11.99 to 11.49 at most NHRA tracks if I understood it right.
Its that way at IHRA tracks too, unless you've modified the firewall and/or the floor. And also I think if you run faster then 135 mph.
Once you get to 11.49, there is alot more rules that kick in other then just a roll cage too, lol. I think that's when you have to start wearing a fire jacket (maybe not though) and if you run slicks (and I'd say anything running that fast would be) you have to have a drive shaft loop.
10.99 though is when you really got to have the safety stuff. Modified rear end/axels, trans. shield, and there is a few more that I just can't remember and I dont have my IHRA rule book to look them up. But basically, you have to have the same stuff I have, and that's everything but a midplate (and that comes at 9.99 along with a chute and a license), lol.

I plan on running close to that 11.49 on drag radials.
10's with slicks, but that is sometime away yet. Gonna need a bunch of stuff to have her hook up right, then to have it legal to run. The power will be there, I just have to make sure the driveline can support it.

Well, I think you'd be ok as far as being required to have an aftermarket rear end and axel as long as you are 11.00-up. But when you go 10.99, you have to have a modified rear end.
Now that don't mean your stock parts will handle it, that just means the race track doesn't require it. Of course, in all honesty, I'm not sure that all the tracks even check all the little things like that. But maybe that's just the tracks close to me.

I'd say low 14s from the 944 but unfortunately i've never had it at the track. I killed an Eclipse GSX that was decently modified, and a few Mustang GTs so i'm pretty confident.
