I just watched it on the news.... I just don't understand these little pathetic twerps have goin through their heads :screwy: when they plan/do shit like this. Why didn't the kids that "heard" about their plans of doing this say anything to the authorities.. school or law enforcement.... if they did those people that are now dead would probably still be here!!!
My main question is where do they get the weapons/guns to do this.. if it is the parents guns... why didn't they have them locked up? I know it is pretty easy to get your hands on a firearm but cmon... it is easier to prevent it also!!!
I believe everyone has the right to "bare arms" (sp?) but we can lose that right if we don't use that right responsibly!!! I myself use that right with my "collection" and am VERY responsible because I have a 3 and 1 year old and one day they will let curiosity get the best of them and want to "see" the "collection" for themselves.
I learned at a young age about gun safety and also had it being in the U.S. Army Reserve... but I am also mentally stable.... :naughty:
All I ask of you younger guys...and girls.. is that even if you think they might be joking.. report this shit right away!!!!! otherwise this senseless shit will continue to happen. :disappoin
Well I am done rambling and that is my :2cents:

it is very comon for people to not lock up their wepons. I have a shot gun just sitting in my closet.
do you have a gun? it is not the parents fault. that is exstreemly sad.

:

Does that answer your question? I do have a "collection"... but I will not elaborate further as not to incriminate myself.... :evillol:

I'm also not saying it is the parents fault but if it their weapons that are used.... they can be partly to blame....

it is not the parents fault.

:wtf: are you talking about. How is it not the parents fault. It is 100% the parents fault. They are responsible for the upbringing of their children. If you have kids in the house, why would you not have your guns locked up. You are probably the kind of moron to leave the shotgun in the closet loaded. Don't come crying to anyone when someone kills themselves with your loaded weapon.

You are probably the type to think that the schools are responsible for raising your children. :disappoin

This is most certainly a tradgedy that needs to stop...

I used to live on a farm just outside of a small town about 7000 people. One day we were sitting in class and we distinctively heard 2 shots fired from down the hall. It turns out some guy had shot two people, one fatally. We were about twenty feet down the hall from it, pretty much the closest classroom to this guy. One of our school patrol guards came up behind him and wrestled him down. He had enough ammo to kill many many more. This was about 6 years ago when I was in grade 7 (I think). It happened exactly one week after the Columbine shootings.

Now, he found the guns all by himself, they were not his parents (I dont believe). This is in a country where we do not have the legal right to bear arms (Canada), and if someone wants to make something like this happen, they will. Guns are not readily available here like they are in the US, our government (idiots) has tried to implement a gun registry program that was supposed to cost 1 million dollars and so far is over 1 billion, with no real proof that anything has worked.

It is not all the parents fault, however, I agree that they are partially to blame. It is the other kids in school who bully the others, and it is the schools that do NOTHING to stop this bullying.

Is it possible that it these things happen in the US a lot more because of the fact that guns are so available. Sure Canada is 10 times smaller than the US in population, however, there is over 10 times the amount of gun related violence in the United States as well.

I think that is is due to bullying, lack of punishment for bullying, and the readily avaiable supply of guns.

I don't believe that there is a school in Canada that has metal detectors and security guards sitting at the doors searching all the bags, at most we have cameras in our schools. All of this "open-ness" and we still have next to no violence.

Just something to think about, my two cents.

yea i saw it on the news and read it in the paper.. the weird thing was, it wasn't even the top story. Something stupid that had no importance was the top story. It was like the News Anchors didn't even give a fuck.

It's sad, no doubt. Much love to the families that lost.

I'm pretty hardcore about my right to own a weapon. I own two rifles. Laws need to be put toward responsible ownership, the second ammendment doesn't afford the right of a criminal or dumbass to own a weapon. I wouldn't place the entire blame on the parents, but they deserve their good sized share. It was particularly obvious to see the significant role parental influence played in the Columbine case.

Forget who is to blame, it's sad it has to go down like this.

The thing is, I know it sounds corny, but it is most likely the other students faults. I am not trying to be fucked up, I feel soooo sorry for both the kids that had tragically lost their lives to pure stupidity, and to their families, but we all know kids are cruel. I am not trying to say the reason he did it is soley because this kid got shit on, but it is a factor, thats got to stop as well... along with parents being safer, and they should know if their kid is doing some shit like this, i mean cmon, KNOW YOUR CHILD!

the worst part of it is, if this kid was getting picked on, im sure the poor kids that were killed prolly werent even the ones that ever tormented him. its a shame things ahve to come down to events like this

Its not really the parents fault. Its really those [bullys] at schools fault. If it wasn't for them picking on him so much then maybe he wound never get to the point of killing. You guys know what im talking about. You all know you guys have made fun of someone at school before. Its people like that that.

i watched the news(i live in st paul) and this is what i gathered

im pretty sure he stole the gun from his grandfather's house, then shot his grandfather and friend then went to the school so its not as if his parents had the gun laying around

there was never any mention of parents that i heard of so maybe he didnt have any and possibly lived with his grandparents.(maybe i just missed it)

the kid was into neo-nazi stuff so bullying was not the root cause of the violence, just what set it off.
how the kid was raised has such an impact on the values of a child that the only thing responsible was the moral values and environment in the kids home while he was raised.

excuse my french but i was pissed as fuck when i heard MN gov. pawlenty saying that 'this is not a representation of their people or their values' (not exact quote)

what kind of fucking racist bastard is that guy??? i fucking hate our gov.
say what you want about jesse ventura but hes waaaaay better than stupid rich racist idiot tim

As much as i've heard... his dad commited suicide when he was 8 Y old and his ma had something happen to her to where she was having some bad physical issues... so he got shipped up north to some other family.... they aren't quite sure what caused him to go "nuts"... The news did say that in that area meth and other drugs are kinda a problem... well it is a problem everywhere... why can't kids just be happy with smokin a good doobie, play vid games and get to lazy to commit crimes and shit!!! lol
