Fuel Filter fuel line

I have a 94 v6 z body 4wd sonoma

I took it to the shop to change my fuel filter(i tried a few time and cant get it out) but they told me is in too bad condition to change my fuel filter. They suggest me to change the fuel line along with the fuel filter, cus they will pretty sure will break them when they are try to get the filter out.

First does anyone know how to change the fuel filter from tank to engine?
If u done it b4, is it a bitch work or pice of cake? How much is the fuel line itself?

Drop the tank, unbolt the line, put new line in, bolt back..Should take you about 2 hours. And remember to use line wrenches!

Unless you have the proper tools to bend and flare line, you need to buy the lines from the dealer. Get both the main feed and the return line.

have anyone use a line wrench to get a fuel filter off b4? remember i have the older style

You should ALWAYS use a line wrench when dealing with fuel lines. It sucks to strip those things.

So what was the verdict?

i just did a fuel filter on my 92 sonoma it was not a 2 hour project it was a five hour night mear and you dont need line wrenches yea their nice but you can use a nice set of wrenches and it will get the job done. The lines on it are rusted but unless their leaking dont mess with them. The steel line is around 4.89 dollars for five feet and for rubber high pressure its is around 4.88 dollars a FOOT you dont need a pipe bender just use your hands it works just fine.

Hey batman, how did you make out?

My lines leak, so I'm in the process of lifting the bed off to replace the lines and the sending unit, shocks and clean up/paint underneath. I have the blues of dealing with tubing.
