When you go to Autozone to have the codes read, where do they connect their code reader. The guy at AUTOZONE could not find where to connect the code reader.
I have a 95 SW with the 1.9 with 54,000 miles
I am getting 24 mpg... very poor. Car runs rough. Have replaced plugs and wires with no change. Any ideas??

Hey there. I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure the Diagnostic test connector is what you're looking for. In the 1.9L engine it is located right behind the battery. It should be right next to a box with 'EEC TEST' written on the top of it. It looks like a cross between an almost pyramid with the top chopped off, and an outlet.
You can do the test yourself, you just need to get a voltmeter and hook it up to the right PIN.
Now like I said, I'm no mechanic, but I'm pretty sure this is what you're looking for. I'd suggest finding it yourself before taking it back to Autozone. You would think they see a lot of these cars in there, they're pretty popular. I wonder why he couldn't find the tester.

That is exactly where it is at. The mileage loss is likely from fouled sensors.
