gas problem

I have a problem when the car starts. when it is cold the car will idle at 2500 or 3000 then all of a sudden it will drop to about 1500 or 1000 and then goes back up. this only happens when the car is cold. just wondering if anyone knew what was wrong??

it really is normal...winter sucks. i hate my car when it's cold. if you notice that once the engine heats up it will stop to do it. if it does it even when the engine is hott then your idle needs adjustment.

well i just got my car back from the shop. i had the ignition coil replaced. it didnt do that before i took it in or else i wouldnt make a big deal about it.
