This is about as non technical as it gets, but the question still remains and i really don't know either. In one corner you have a big block with a super charger the size of Ted Kennedy on top that rumbles so loud it will stop a heart from beating. In the other corner is a 3 liter v10 that spins so fast they used to cheat by floating the valves and turning it into a 2 stroke. What sounds better, top fuel dragster or F1?

I've been to both and I have to say, while I respect F1 for how efficient their motors are (1030HP from a NA 3.0 Liter) Theres just no replacing top fuel. If you ever go you'll be able to understand, absolutely INSANE, that rumble is so loud, you feel it more than you hear it, and when they launch or clean their tires, its frightening...

top fuel dragster gets my vote.
Cars with whiny engines dont sound too good in my oppinion, and thats why my 1979 1300 with a red line of 5600rpm sounds better thn my dads 94 2000 with a red line of 7000+!

I like them both but f1 gets my vote because they use the highest technology available to them but top fuelers still use roots blowers. Plus f1 engines run longer, fires are less likely, and i find it more interesting because going in a straight line really doesn't seem like much fun after a couple of runs.

If you have seen top fuel in real life the sound that the two cars makes going down the track is loud enough to shake your soul. When two cars are powerful enough to shake the grandstand underneath you its heartstopping.

Top fuel is cool, yea, but they are constantly looking for the next "trick" to get another 1/10 of a second. F1 is constantly developing new technology to win races.
