Hey all. Damn, I havent been here in awhile...
Im finally getting my rims tomorrow. My friend is selling me his aftermarket 5-star rims off his old 3000gt, the tires that are on there (used), and set of 4 newer tires (1 with a hole), for $100. They're 16's, and have a silver metal finish. I havent seen them, but I cant beat the price. (The offset is the same too). Now my questions:
The 1 newer tire has a small hole. Do you think I should just get that patched up, or just buy 1 whole new tire? I dont want to have a tire failure, especially since I drive like a crazy bitch.
The second question is, do the tires have to be balanced or anything? These came off another car... are they just going to be perfect? Alignment?
I also need new back shocks (supposedly), so the rims wont stay on until I get that fixed (uneven tire wear), but I will post pics with them on. Thanks guys

If u replace that (hole) tire then i recommend u to replace the other side of the tire too. as in if that tire is gonna be in your front passanger side then replace the both front tires so u will not have a wierd setup. This happend to me when 1 of my tires were slashed, the tire store said for me to replace both tires instead of just 1.

There is always a possibility of the plug coming out, so I would recommend replacing the tires. And make sure you follow viet boiiii's advice and replace both tires. As for the balancing, no you do not have to have them rebalanced. Balancing has nothing to do with the car. It is to make sure that the tire is balanced on the rim. Now if you get 2 new tires, you will have to have the new ones balanced, but the old ones you can just bolt on. Enjoy......And don't forget to post some pictures when you get the new rims.
