Hello,
My 67 RS hideaways stoped working so I ordered new motors and 3 new relays. I replaced all of this stuff and now the pass. side door wants to stay open (running all the time) I checked the limit switches and they are good. When I manually open the driverside headlight the pass. side starts to close????? I don't get it! I hooked up everything the way it was before what gives? It's almost like it's out of phase, but that would not seem possible as the motors can only plug in one way? The relays seem to all be the same? Although one of them had the prongs reversed. (the ones on the car) I even hooked it back in to see if that made a difference (NO Dice) What am I doing wrong???
Thanks for any information you could offer,
Kevin

Try manually closing both headlights with them disconnected then hook them up and try them. If that doesn't work, try manually opening them both with them disconnected, turn headlights on, hook them back up and turn them off. It sounds like they are out of sync from each other.

You say you purchased 3 relays. Was your fourth relay good as I think you need 4. Year One sales wiring diagrams that may help out too. A DC motor will run backwards if you reverse the polarity so make sure your pos/neg wires are properly hooked up. I'll try and find my wiring book if you don't get a quick resolution.

I meant to write limit switches, not relays. Sorry, brain fart.

I used a volt meter to check continuity(spelling) I got a buz that stoped when I pushed the limit switch button so I believe they are good. I'll go try the unhook them trick and see if that does anything.
Thanks,
Kevin

[Guys,
Thanks for the help. I fixed it today. It appears the company who made the repo motor wired it backwards. The plug would only go in one way. I made 2 jumper wires and reversed the leads. Guess what it worked fine. From there I shaved the ridge off the plug so it could be pluged in the other way and BOO Yaa I have working headlight doors. Thanks again for your quick responses.
