Pep boys sells jetta fluid. As in, the fluid for your tranny which the Jetta uses. But I dont recommend doing it unless you've done it before. Transmission fluid is not fun and games. You loose your tranny, you loose 10 Gs. Take it to Jiffy Lube, they'll change every fluid in your car for like 85 bucks. Dont do yourself what can be done correctly by someone else.

I Would Say, Have Your Brother Take The Car Into Somebody Else And See What They Say About It....If They Say The Same Thing, Then Do As The Car Genious Says...Pep Boys and/or Jiffy Lube.:alien:

First of all it sounds like another big scam. Talk to an actual mechanic to find out what oil should be used. My manual says GL4 but the mechanic says GL5 which is a later brand. Some transmissions have a sideways opening to put in fluid and when it is full is when it comes back out of the sideways opening, about a half gallon. Overfilling could contaminate your clutch plate.
