Brake upgrade w/ larger wheels

I was thinking of moving to a 20" or 22" wheel for summer, but want to switch to my stock wheels/tires in winter. Should I upgrade my brakes for the larger wheels, why/why not? and if I do what size should I go to that will still allow my stock wheels to fit.?

Any brand recommendations?

What would you do leave it stock?

id leave it stock specs but maybe with slotted rotors, not drilled though, unless they were cyrofrozen drilled, and good pads.....any bigger aftermarket brakes do not allow OEM wheel fitment

thank you for you thoughts, I have read around and most people recommend upgrading but personally stayed stock, so makes me wonder. I read some people went up to 23" without even upgrading and still had no problems. Obviously brake pads will go faster with more weight to stop but I shouldnt lose too much stopping distance and power, but if thats the case I will just upgrade.

May decide to go with 20" because it will ride better and weigh much less than the 22". Cost less too after 4 wheels and tires I will save about 500+.

The whole reason for upgrading the brakes is purely a safty one. with the larger rim you have more rotating mass dont quote me on this but i belive that a 1 oz wheel weight on a 15 inch rim at 100 kph is equal to 10 lbs I know I heard something like that before. If you are not going to go with bigger brakes then at least put on the best pads/rotors you can
