auto trans on manual car

is it possible to use a auto trans and harnes on a manual tranmission?

Use a automatic ECU and harness with a manual transmission? That is possable, but you will have to rewire the neutral safety start and the backup lights. You can not use a manual ECU on a automatic transmission though.

you have any idea where those wires are for the nutural saftey start and backup lite?

I do for a FC but not an MKIII, it will be in the wiring schematics of the TSRM though...

I'll look through it tonight and see what I can find. The neutral start switch for a manual is on the back of the clutch pedal, on an auto it's on the shifter housing. I know the reverse sensor for a manual is on the transmission housing, I can't say for an automatic though.
