How much are you paying for the doors? It might be cheaper to just have your panels recovered.

If you have them recover it they can take the holes "out". I have already checked into it when I switch to my 4 points.

ok, everyone, stop confusing each other.
you can put 88-89 style doors on a 90-91 car, but they have to be from the same bodystyle. IE: CRX to CRX, hatch to hatch, sedan to sedan. CRX doors do not work on the hatch. the angle at the top is more curved, and the glasses arent even interchangable.
the door panels do swap over between CRX and civic, provided they are from the same grouping (88-89 and 90-91). you can put the 90-91 panels on an 88-89, but you will have the large bulge at the bottom and the slot at the top for the seatbelt system. you could also put the 88-89 panel on the 90-91 door, but only after removing the seatbelt system.
for people with racing harnesses in a 90-91 car, it makes sense to put 88-89 doors on them to lose weight and to make the interior look a lot cleaner. keep in mind that the window glass for the 88-89 is about 2 inches longer than the 90-91, and that the outer pillar trim is a lot skinner on the 88-89.
i think that about clears things up...

in light of u'r statement, u r right but not fully detailed. all 88's have seat belts on the b pillar and not the door. only about a quarter of the 89's have the belts on the b pillar. the other 3/4 have them on the doors like the 90 and 91. it might even be as many as all of the 89 from about the mid of Feb 88 thru the rest of the years production. as for everything interchanging like u said... yes it will
as a side note. if u really want it to be clean, also get the door sill molding from an 88 or EARLY 89, that runs along the side of the seat that u only see when the door's open. if not, u'll have the bare spot where the plastic covered bracket was. just making sure nothin is forgotten.
