Timing Belt Tension Adjustment

Hey guys I am working on my 91 Stealth DOHC NA I was replacing my lifters to the 3rd gen lifters and I noticed my timing belt is a little loose my dad said that I should adjust the tensioner because sometimes they get stuck up and you have to back them off and tighten them up again (my belt and tensioner were changed when I did my water pump about a year ago), that sounds cool, but how do I do that on my car?? I have my dealership manual and they give directions for the SOHC but not the DOHC and I am having a hard time figuring out if the DOHC and the SOHC are the same spots to do things. Any help would be greatly appriciated!

If you check out the FAQ, there is a section about the 60k tuneup, with many links that have info on replacing/tightening DOHC timing belts.

umm take off your auto tensioner and try and push the hydrolic part down. If you can push it down with your hands then go and buy a new one.
