i was in my car the other day and the music wasnt even on loud and i heard a little boom sound and the light on my amp turned red(its normally green). when this happened i thought it was the amp that was blown but about a day later the light turned green again but still nothing worked. I bought a new amp thinking it was the amp that was blown and i hooked the amp up and still nothing works. I noticed however, the subs hit really really really softly, i can feel it and see it a little bit. Next i thought it must have been blown subs, so i bought 2 new subs. still the same thing, they barely hit. All the wiring has been checked and it is all correct so could my problem be like a fuse in my deck or something? how do i check this?

What kind of amp is it? Check the RCAs and make sure they are still good, or that you don't have the gain on your amp cranked and other settings all buggered up.

i had a similar problem with a pair of audiobahns. turned out i had a fried voice coil. but if you swaped the subs and it didn't fix the problem then im not sure. try checking the preout connection and make sure it is fitting tightly.
