any trouble with CLs ?

There shouldn't be any considering they're basically Honda Accords. They also share drivetrain parts.

if im buying parts for a '97 2.2 CL, which year accord parts should i buy for it? like what year accord would i buy an AEM Cai for to put on the CL?.. thanks..

Man, my CL has been nothing but trouble. Evertime I bring it in for service, it ends up costing $500. This time it's the steering and brake fluids need to be flushed. They wanted to stick me with a "de-carb" to remove carbon build up.

Do they see a sucker coming or what?!?

I'm thinking of gettin a 99 CL....I havn't really seen too many positive or negative reports of the CL online...I've seen more reports on the Integra and TL...for all the owners here, What is your opinion?

The 99s are a totally different car (body, engine, etc). You'll have to wait for one of those owners to give you feed back.

i had a 2001 cl and loved it. i wrecked it and was totally safe. i now have a 2003 cl they didn't change anything. if it ain't broke don't fix it. i have had no problems with either except finding stuff to fit on it. can i really uses accord stuff?

If you hate on the CL Type S...you got issues homie. First off, the CL-S is a LUXURIOUS sport car. It's got looks, PLENTY of speed, and all the other goodies. That's one pimp ass ride, and i plan on gettin one real soon :)

Don't get an automatic. Honda outsourced the tranny to a subcontractor and it's been nothing but trouble. They have since increased their warrantee to 100k because of it. Some people have gone through 3 trannies. A lot have given up on the CL and gone over to Infiniti for the G35 coupe instead. More power, indestructible.

I have a cl bought new in 99. noisey engine (2.3) replaced engine at 60,000Kms (canada) noisey again at 80,000, anyone else have a noisy 4cly.

I have a 98 2.3CL Manual and haven't had any engine problems. The only thing I ever seem to get is Windows, and now my Passanger Lock doesn't always engage with the remote. I can hear the motor turn but it doesn't lock unless I do it 2 or 3 times. Other than that, 114,000, regular maintence (well, not so regular, about 7000 mile Oil changes) and lots of Accelerating, 80+ MPH most of the time. Its a little slow to accelerate in low RPM's in 1st, but after that, keeping it at 4000 till 5th gear its damn quick. Usually hit 80MPH's in 3rd around 6000 RPMs. Over all, I'm very happy. If only the interior was as sturdy as the engine. Driver seat rocks a little and the Lighter has been pulled out twice (my fault but still too easily done).

I have had my 99 2.3cl (manual trans.) for about a year now... I love it... if you looking for speed i wouldn't suggest it.....i have a 2003 r1 for that.... but its a nice smooth comfortable ride, very stylish.... i haven't had any problems what so ever... i plan on getting some limmo tint and dropping it a little as soon as i have the money, other than that its sweet

Any Acura dealer can get the code for you. I bought my CL 3.2 Type S used and the dealer was able to call in and get the code. NOTE: If you tried to code the incorrect code 3 times and an error appears you have to keep the car on for exactly one whole hour before it resets and you can re-enter the correct code. I know it happened to me and I drove around for an hour with the radio on (with the error displayed) for exactly one hour before I heard the radio reset.
