I'm just wondering what everybody is getting. I have a feeling somethin isn't right with my car. I changed the spark plugs and wires (Autolite Double Platinum plugs and OEM wires) and the air filter is just fine. I ran through some fuel system cleaner and I use 93 octane Mobil gas. I don't drive it hard (usually), and my miles are probably 80% highway.

I'm getting about 23 MPG. Is this very good for a N/T in good condition?
I know some of your turbo fellas are gettin atleast that. Let me know. Any suggestions appreciated.

I usually get about 32ish on the highway, but stop and go/traffic rapes my gas mileage.

I get around 21-23 *street* per gallon on hard driving and around 28 *street* on soft grandma style driving. prolly around 35 on highways. I had 30 mpg once on hard driving after cleaning my air intake filter and replaceing the oil filter.

I have a GST and I get anywhere from 20 to 30 mpg, depending on how much I get on it.

I don't burn a drop of oil, keep up on maintainance like a mofo, and have never had above 30mpg at 93 octane. Shit is expensive. I have a 200k+ Ford that gets better gas mileage, lol.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get better mileage? Besides the usual not driving it hard, etc.? Just wondering if anybody has any tricks to save gas. If it works, let us know!

P.S. I read somewhere about putting magnets on your fuel lines right next to the injectors. It's supposed to break apart the carbon molecules so the fuel atomizes at a finer mist or something like that. Anybody tried this? GAS IS EXPENSIVE.

i think the magnets thing is kinda tlike the turbonater lol. :bs:. try doing a tuneup. plugs, wires, fuel filter, clean the throttle body and dump a bottle of injector cleaner in the tank

Did all that expect the throttle body and the fuel filter. No real change in mileage.

I used to get over 30 on the highway in the 2g, with the strocker, intake mani, and cams, its more like 25. 22 average.

Truck averages 17

POScort averages 35

91 talon averages 22 (weak).

Wifes mercury, ~26.

Its also fun filling up the truck now that we're on the subject. Deisel is 230 to 250 per gallon now. Filled up today for just over 70 bucks. WTF. Don't buy a 7000 pound 1 ton dually unless you're a baller. This shit is expensive...

I was amused I just got done converting my mpg to rods per hogsheads (don't ask I was bored) 4480 rods per hogshead if your interested.. then I found this thread. I just got my 99 gs spyder and I average 21-25mpg (note this is average over 2 tanks... It's crappy conpared to my old cavalier but this car is so much nicer...

I don't drive too hard but I'm just starting to learn stick so that may also degrade the gas milage.
