tibs breaking 12 sec.??

my buddy and i are sitting here arguing over our cars i own a 1990 240sx and he owns a 1998 tiburon and was wondering if anyone had ever heard of a 12 sec or less tib. no offense hyundai guys because i really like the tib but can they be fast without spending an arm and leg.

Tibs can run in the 12sec and under category. But it usually requires at least $10k to get them there.

theres plenty of tibs that will run 12s all day long... and sometimes lower...
but very rarely see any in america.. cause noone ever takes hyundai seriously.. korea has tibs that will each up alota japanese "super cars"

i own a 98 tibby and u say there's tibs running 12's but are there any running 10's and 9's? I recently bought my tib and i have enough saved up to start modding it. I previously owned a talon, and it's fun to drive and i found lots of parts for it, but thanks to the deer around here it's no longer a possibility. i want to work on building a prepping my engine for a turbo. What all do i need to start taking into consideration for adding a turbo and how much am i looking at spending?

theres 1 rd that i know of that runs 10s on street tires.. but its a 2 engine, awd (heavily modded) tib

liek i said noones gonna take hyundai, or tibs for that matter serious in the US.. in korea its another story

the axxis drag machine in korea is the fastest tib i know of. 1000hp on the stock beta engine block. i think its in the 9s, or so ive heard.

and i saw a pic of a 900hp tib once... i'll have to hunt it down too

so it's pretty rare to find heavily modded out tibs. Right now i got about 2500 to spend on my tib and if i want to turbocharge it what do u think i should invest my money in first, an exhaust or forging pistons and such. can u find high performance engines for the tib, because i have been looking but can't find none. i think it's about time people started considering the tib because it is a nice car and to me seems to have potential.

youll find plent of heavily modded 3rd gens....
