elledged turbo for Camaro Z28

My friend said he saw a turbo system that replaces you muffler and uses your existing exhaust mans/headers. It was for 4th gens and he said it was on HPTV or some show like that. Can anyone clarify??? I think he's full of it.

i've seen people try to advertise a rear mount turbo setup on here before.. i would do a search to see what you come up with, i wanna say i seen it in the firebird forum as well. but if im not mistaken, the guy got banned, so getting ahold of someone for info would be a pain..

yes there are such turbos and they are called remote mount turbos. They work on the basis of getting the heat out of the engine bay and by pulling the air through your motor... they are supposed to be a different concept of a normal turbo design wise. I don't know if I would recomend it but everything has its pros and cons i guess.... if you want to read into it you can go to http://www.ststurbo.com/

Im wondering about the lag for that system, but wow 508 hp at 8 psi WOW... too bad i cant afford it

we've had the debate about the remote mount turbos. i dont like em, some people do. there should be a thread about it already, run a search of the forum for more info...

hmmm ive heard about this rear mounted turbo, never got any feed-back on one. im woundering how good they work in real life

I cant believe they want nearly $4grand for that. I mean ,yeah, it's a huge HP gain, but damn!

they also need new tires...

Racin where'd you find that pic? I was gonna post saying that I just saw my friend's 01 SS the other day at the shop gettign this kit put on... that looks strangely liek the shop... but yea. Pretty slick and badass setup, now that i've seen it.

and liek hsi car unless the ALL use methanol injection, and have that like... screen over the rear air filter..
