"Rollbar" lol. Lookin great. You should fill the sunroof. Seems kindof a hazard for a race vehicle. How do the super swampers fith the stock rims? Keep up the great work!!

p.s. saw on hlj italeri is going to release a mercedes dakar truck. I am unsure of what it was.

Hello

Blubaja, I've understood that I must put accessories in the ceiling, correct? if it is thus, I do not agree with you... is a race car, not one of quickly assistance, reason why the ceiling will go without no type of accessory or roof rack ;)

About the rims and tyres, look this:

http://www.angelsaxo.com/mismodelos/Dakar/HDJ80/proceso/images/DSCN0742.jpg
http://www.angelsaxo.com/mismodelos/Dakar/HDJ80/proceso/images/DSCN0743.jpg

The tires go fixed to those styrene pieces, since the tires are a little greater than the rims, but when he is everything painted as soon as it will be appraised :grinno:

Bigfrit, very thanks for your reply ;)

Now I will advance the Unimog, that have come to me today, and with the HDJ interior. I need to have ready both vehicles to paint and to place the decals at the same time. I will put new post to you with the Unimog... :iceslolan :uhoh:

See you!

Hey,

I think there might be some misunderstanding somewhere. I meant, you usually don't see the glass opening on the top of the car, on race vehicles. This is what I meant:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v737/blubaja/sunroof.bmp

Good luck on the unimog!!!! The kit is soso. You should open the hood.

hello blu!

Now yes I have understood to you... in these cases replaces the window by a metallic plate, just as with back windows, for that reason I haven't given importance him and I have not suppressed that window ;)

Now enjoy the Unimog!!! :naughty: :iceslolan

Greatings and excuse my bad english... :banghead:

Nice work Angelsaxo. Now afet james' Nascar and your Dakar piece I'm thinkin of expanding my horizons. I was only gonna build rally cars but I have since bought an F1 car. So maybe instead I'll build models from the whole race car spectrum. There you go, you have inspired me! Oh, and your english is great :)

I hadn't checked out this or the Unimog thinking I wouldn't be interested, how wrong I was! Excellent thread and VERY interesting subject!
I'll look forward to the progress!

Of course ,when these two are finished, you know that you have to schratchbuild a 1:24 sand-dune, right? (joke)

But honestly, this/these models look great, and are interresting and neglected subjects! Nice and cool!

Eh...Remember the rear windows are covered so you won't really see anything. What is going where that huge white area is behind teh seats tho? Keep up the great work!

Vric, I will soil the wheels and the chassis, I do not believe that I also soils the body, although has enough failures since it is the first time that I make my own decals... but good, everything improvement with the experience!
