Hello I tryed to install my fog lights, everything is perfect but I wanted to use a regular switch instead of OEM (I bought lights only...w/o the switch)

I tried to make it work but I'm not able to make it. Does anyonr knows how the cable is 'configured'

1 : unknown ??
2: 'negative' pole of the relay
3: 12V switch +engine
4: 12 V switched
5 : ground ??

wich wires should I put on the fog light switch ??? Unless I buy a OEM switch...

Thanks for any update

Why not buy a switch? St. Charles isuzu charges like 8-10 bucks for it if i remember correctly.

I don't know the factory pinout, don't have a schematic handy. The OEM setup only allows the fogs to be used when the low beam headlights are on. There is a way to jumper that however, so the fogs can be used independantly. Do you have a relay plugged into the 'fog light' socket in the under hood power distribution box? Rodeo's that didn't come with fogs wont have a relay installed.

I check and it 40 $ Canadian, so I'll go with OEM .... my first info were 60-70... at 40$ I won't work two hours to find the wires and do connections

thanks

I bought new factory fog lights for my 2001 Rodeo that did not originally come with them. It apears that I need an additional bracket or some such. Does anyone have any more information on this?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

where did you buy it from? Did you get the kit?

No, no kit was bought. Just the lights. I plan to buy an original switch as well though!
I can't remember where I bought them, somewhere on the internet but they are factory lights.

I'll see if I can dig up the bracket part# from the kit I got a year or two ago... I'm thinking It will be difficult to buy JUST the OEM bracket, but you never know! Definately will be a dealer only item.
