driver window

I need some help or advice! The driver window came off the track, at least thats what i am assuming, because the window is just loose but the motor still works. The inside door panel has been removed but the problem seems to be located behind a metal piece on the inside of the door. I don't actually know what the problem is exactly, but i can fix it if i can see the parts behind this metal piece. I need a diagram that shows how the window motor is linked to the actual window. I've asked several auto stores in the area but not one has one. Any suggetions?
