I recently purchased a 1986 944 (non turbo). Well it rained for the 1st time since the purchase and the car runs "rough"; it ran fine prior. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance!

my first guess would be ignition. i would check for moisture in the distributor cap. also you might have a plugwire breaking down and the moisture is making it more noticable. you might try opening the hood at night with the engine running and look for sparks from the wires to ground. do you think water is getting in the intake? my car is a turbo and i've got a hot wire setup on it which puts the air filter right behind the left headlight and right below the hood gap, this makes it run rough in the rain at low speeds. i'm not sure what the n/a intake system looks like but that may be something to look at.

The ignition system was my guess also; the weather is suppose to be dry today so I'll try running it. I just order a Rotor & Cap kit, but I forgot to order the wires. I don't think that the moister is getting through the intake because the problem started right at start up.
