Empty? I don't think so.

I have a 86 coupe with a digital dash that tells me the tank is empty. When I go to fill it up it only takes about 10 gallons to fill it up, which leaves about 9 more gallons in the tank. Should I take the sensor out of the tank and inspect it. And my acceleration guage is way off as far as the gas milage goes.

That puts on a good light show but I need to find out why it says empty when it's actually about half empty.
By the way it shows full when I fill it up. My digital dash is actually doing ok besides the asual fade. I like it but suck as far being able to see it when the sun is shining bright.

My digi dash has a problem with those two gauges also. It says empty and only 9 GALS. go in.
