I am putting the d15 vtec in my 89 crx hf, I need some help with wiring for a 4 wire o2 sensor. The jdm motor i got has a 1 wire o2 sensor but i am running the p28 ecu w/ obd0 to obd1 jumper harness. Any help would be apreciated. I saw an article on this one time but i can't find it. Thanks Scott

Hey man, sorry I took so long to get back in touch... But the directions u e-mailed me were a decent size... Basically its telling u to wire the blue wire (for the 02 heater control) to either of the black wires on the 4 wire 02 sensor (there will be 2, the other black wire goes to a proper ground)... U need to buy one of those (4 wire O2) to get it to work...

Cool, i was confused on the two black wires on which one goes where since they are the same color. also on the old d15 hf motor there is a little round thing between the throtle body and valve cover. It says Japan on the top. It has a vacum line and a three wire plug that goes to it. Is this an EGR valve? If so is there one on the D15 vtec and where is it cause it's definatly not in the same place if there is one on the vtec

Yea, sounds like the EGR... The D15B VTEC dosnt have one to my knowledge...

So i can just cut and hide those wires. What are the 12 volt wires for on the jumper harness?

White wire goes to the white wire on the 02... And im not sure what volt they are, the there are the CEL (Check engine light), which u should run to a toggle switch, and u can flip that switch to get the diagnostic codes from the ECU... Ad for the rest, I dont know... The harness u got has different instructions than mine... I got mine from rywire.com, it came with easy instructions...

Did you have the same wire colors in your jumper harness? Do you still have the instructions, cause i have been looking into it and i can't figure out which wires i use and dont use and to where they go. the direction just tell me what the wire carries and not where exactly they need to go so it's got me a little confused. So far i have the injectors, dizzy, coolant temp., aand all the throttle body sensors wired and in place w/ my hf harness. There are many similarities between the two harnesses but they are a little different. I completly unwraped both harnesses just cause i was curious to see where all the wires go and plus i wnat to retape everthing and make it look new, but as far as wiring up what ever extra sensors i need i am kinda lost. I have the o2 sensor figured out now. what other sensors do i need to account for and wire up differently? Sorry for all the questions but i want to make sure i do this right the first time so i don't have to go back and tear apart the harness to fix a problem. Thanks for the help Scott

No, my harness wiring was alot different... But I also ordered a VTEC harness, so it included the VTEC connectors... Basically, other than the O2, and the CEL, mine *should* be all plug and play... Then I have to cut my resistor box off, change the OBD1 injector clips, and then the dizzy I got a harness for aswell... I got the whole package for $190 shipped, and it got here quick, ordered it like Thursday, and it got here yesterday! But I didnt want to mess with anything like u are dealing with, thats why I got it, to just plug and play... Least wiring as possible... But I can definately relate to getting it done right the first time... Exactly what I want to do... Im just affraid im missing something... :banghead: Where did u get your harness from?

e bay. I got the jumper harness from an ebay company and it has the vtec wires too but it is for a couple diferent motors besides mine so it has extra wires. It can even work for one of the obd2 conversions so it has plenty of wires to it. the only thing that i cant figure out is what are the extra sensor i have to hook up in my case. I heard something of a knock sensor bt i can't figure out exactly what i am supposed to do cause i wired up both dizzy plugs just like it should be and i never ran into a knock sensor wire or anything. Just the fact that i have so many options w/ this jumper harness has me confused a little. I am just wondering if there are extra sensors that i have to wire up that are on the d15 vtec and not on the regular d15.

Ohh... Yea, some cars need a knock sensor (DOHC VTEC if Im not mistaken, I know the B16A1 has it), but the D15B VTEC dosnt have it... Only VTEC activation, and pressure switch... I have yet to figure out where the VTEC pressure switch is...

It's right next to the vtec solinoid i believe. It has just a single wire running to it and has a grey plug right next to the green vtec sol. plug

i have another question. Which wires are which on the obd1 plug. I know what the white wire goes to but where does the green/white, orange/black, and the yellow/green go. which one is the heater wire i guess is what i am asking cause the two left over would just go to the ground on my jumper harness since i already know what white is, right? Thanks Scott

my bad correction. the green plug w/ 2 wires i think is the pressure switch and the single wire is vtec. Still need to know which wire is the o2 heater.

Lil help!!! this is all that i have left to complete my wiring troubles. Once i know what color the heater wire is i can finish my wiring. Please help. I have a choice once again between green/wht, orange/blk, yellow/blk. i know what the white wire is. i think it's orange/ blk buy the way the wire runs int he harness but i am not for sure. thanks for the help.
