I have 55ooo miles on my sport v8 automatic. Just had the gaskets done. I have been reading about the reverse pop and the slow shift and its starting to happen to me. What I didn't see an answer to, is after you replace the solenoid pack and the valve body is it fixed for good?

"El Es" had that done and it has been good for him.

indeed so far it was the best fix. I have been though 4 solenoid packs upt to this point the first three kept going bad up to this point when I had the valve body replaced.

But for the cost of the parts you can almost buy a new tranny and I think the new tranny comes with 3/36 yr/mi warranty and runs about 1400 bux.
