a dwarf colony?

so i was at school on friday and somebody was talking about how they saw a colony down in salt lake city, (about 20 minutes from me) that was just for midgets, the houses were even to scale apparently, so i just didn't belive it, so after hearing this i had to see for myself, i saw it, and was amazed, but why? if you were a dwarf wouldn't this just be more embarrising to live in a small house and have kids drive by laughing, i would just be living a normal life, why would anyone want to go into a community like this?

That is frickan awesome. If I was a midget (or for those PC folks out there, "a little person") I would totally have everything scaled down to size, ie. my house, car, pool, etc.. And then I would love inviting normal sized people over. Then you could be like this is how I feel everyday bitch. Peace-

I guess if you were uncomfortable with the way people treated you and wanted to live with others that faced the same challenges, it would be a great place to live.

you know the sugar house exit? well if you get off there just keep heading north on that road, eventually it will be on the right if your heading north, sorry i dont know the exact adress, its kind of hard to find too, its right across the street from westminster college, just make sure your heading north on the sugar house exit from the freeway, pass toy r us, and it will be across the street from westminster college, thats about all i really know

this is actually true, there's also a midget colony near my city also. It's called "midgetville", no joke. I've never visited it before but my friends have, and they said it's true. The houses, mailboxes, everything, are actually scaled for midgets. I might visit it one day. Legend has it though is if you go there to laugh at them, they come out with bats and will hack at your knees, or shotguns and blow your brains out.

Hey, I don't blame them one bit for wanting to live in a neighborhood of similar people. It's the same as any ethnic neighborhood, similar people living in the same area.

I think it's awful that people are making fun of this, but I have to admit it would be funny to be the local town giant and be 5'11" or something. These people should feel free to live their lives however they want though w/o having people come into their community simply to laugh and make fun.

Yea thats why I don't pay any mind when I see somone with dwarfism, they're not any more interesting as people but the fact that somone might live in a mini house is. I've seen lots of famous houses like falling water and such but an inhabited minature village would be much more interesting I think.

I would love to see the minni homes and such. They should charge admission to their village. They would make a killin.

haha, that's what I was wondering. I bet they're more. If I had to build a house where I had to sit on my knees to build and special order EVERYTHING to be half size, it'd probably be HIGHER. which would suck WORSE since one good volvo could take the whole thing out. rofl how wrong... It's like the 7 1/2th floor in Being John Malkovitch...

But you could do twice as much with the land you own, I dunno about where you are but here land is worth more than the structures on it by a lot.

I bet they won't be using sales comparison when it comes time to appraise those houses. I doubt the dwarf market is very hot right now.
