Need Help!!!

I replaced the head gaskets on my '94 S-10 Blazer 4X4 with 4.3L Vortec.
When I finished everything I hooked up the battery and the silver box that sits in front of the air cleaner and behind the window washer res. started humming. I have no idea what this is and don't think it is normal. Any ideas why this would be humming?

Are you talking about the ABS......the silver box with all the metal lines on it?
