Two Monte Carlo Inquiries

Hello I'm new. I was hoping someone could help me, I have two questions.

I have a 2000 Monte Carlo SS. I was in a accident in October where I rear ended someone. My front driver side met the rear passenger corner of there Lumina Van. My headlight was busted and there was a lot of damage done to my fender and hood. It has all been professionally fixed, though I was wondering could there have been some damage to my wiring. Every now and then when I use the power locks to unlock the doors it will not work. I will have to unlock the door manually or use the remote clicker. The lock button will work however. I was wondering was it probably just from the accident or was it a problem other people had been having?

My second question has to do with paint. I have a scuff on my passenger side. When I took it for an estimate the guy at the dealership put some type of "polymer" (I believe that is what he called it.) on the scuff and it was pretty much covered up. The stuff wasn't even black, though it did the trick. I was wondering what the stuff could have been or another substance that could do the trick.

Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

SOUNDS LIKE THE SHOP DID NOT HOOK SOMETHING UP RIGHT OR ITS AWIRING PROBLEM IN YOUR DOOR THAT WAS PART OF THE WRECK SOME TIMES IT HAPPENS BECAUSE THERE IN A RUSH I NOW BECAUSE I WORK AT ONE!!

As far as your scuff rubbing combound and a buffer would take car of your scuff mark 3M compound works good for scuffs

I have had the same issue with my passenger side door lock. The only way I could lock the car was using the key fob. I had work done on the car at a dealer body shop, but it was some time later that the door lock issue came up. I had to take the door apart and re-adjust the rods from the lock the the switch.
The dealer warranty fix was to replace the switch (which didn't fix it).
