86 continental ABS master booster(disaster)

i Just bought my new baby. tan 86 lincoln all the way down to croam hub caps.... beautifull... the other week my "BREAK" light and "CHECK ABS" lights came on.. two days later i try to stop, and fail... at first...

the pedel itself has pressure agenst it. feels great. but when it comes to stopping the car, all i have is the muscle in my leg... (flintstones?) no power in the breaks at all.

the booster is apperently not ran on a vacume, but on hydrolics.

i am no car expert, and i make minimum wadge. supporting a family....

can someone help me?

if you are sure the unit has failed it must be replaced.i couldnt find a rebuild kit for you ,but advance has rebuilt units for 148.00.

the pump is good. or atleast it pumps anyways.

Same store different names in different parts of the nation.
Still a few miles from taft tho.I'd try a local auto parts store. Easy to just call first.There is a place in pittsburgh that specializes in rebuilding all brake and power steering(racks,and pumps) pieces.They have an 800 number. If you can' find any thing local let me know and I will dig it up.
