I rebuilt my engine and I have had problems geting the ingition timing correct. The problem is I run out of adjustment on the dist. I final had to drill the adjustment slot and also reduce the thickness of the hold down bolt. The timing know shows the correct measurement. I feel that the new engine does not have the same power the old engine had. I checked the engine timing with a vacumm gauge and it reeds that the value timing is now running late. I have checked the cam positions and I have the timing of the cams in relation to the crank in perfect aliment. When the engine was rebuilt, the machine shop told me they took alot off the block because the old headgasket damaged it. I have run out of ideas to fix this problem Please help.
Thanks

If you are still having problems, the only thing I can tell you is you set your dist. in wrong. If you run out of adjustment, then I say that would be your problem. Also the power problem, if you are off on the timing you will loose power. Make sure that you install that crank bolt to the spec. If not it will come loose.
Thanks
