factory amp location?

does anyone know where factory amp is on the the 1987 towncar?

the 90's are in the trunk on the "package shelf".

the 80s towncars are very different than the 90s.I looked where you said it would be and i didnt see it.........does anyone know if the old towncars have a seperate amp?

I have an '89 TC. The AMP is behind and to the right of the spare tire---spare tire being on the trunk shelf as you stand there looking into the trunk. You have to pull back the black wall cover and you will see it----a rectangular steel box the size of a large size book mounted against steel framing (which supports the upper back seat). No need to remove the spare tire--just a little ackward as it is in a tight space with the spare there.
