Engine Prob. 1998 Eclipse RS

Would any-one no what would be the cuase of my PROB. The first Clys valve filled up with oil and a whitis-yello gue on the wires end, Also the Idle speed Is running high around 2500 rpms. If any-one know what it could be or suggtions on what I should do post them.

If it is what I think it is... it's bad... when your oil and coolant mix(bad headgasket I believe) it makes something like a nasty mayonaise crap... have you looked into your coolant/radiator? or checked your oil? A friend of mine had an old mazda 626 that had the headgasket go bad :disappoin and it had that miracle whip and poop mix look a like...

I thought of going turbo but I do have plans when I have enough hard cash to cutom and drop a VR4 engine into my RS which would be alot of work but worth it in the end when im topping out my speedo passing my HONDUH on a quarter mile.

Any-one know a parts list of what to replace when doing a Head-Gasket job on a 98 eclipse RS with stock engine. Also how long and the difficulty level of doing-it. Im not some ASE certified armered tank mechanic but I know how to use tools and get the job done but damn it looks like alot just to get the head off. Any-idea post them so I can go out and pick-up parts and be on my way to a long hard day of f***ing up my Hands and clothes.

Was my guess right? is the oil and coolant mixed?
If so... and you are looking at doing it yourself ... get a chiltons manual... there might be a write-up on www.vfaq.com also...
