My used 99' se came without an owners manual so I only know by looking at photos of the engines that it must be the the vulcan. But when you need to get plugs you have these choices: 3.0L 182 cid v6 flex FI(2) or 3.0L 182 cid v6 FI(S) or 3.0L 182 cid v6 FI (U).Duh.....!@#$ I have no idea. Any answers?

The 2, S, and U in that list refer to the engine type digit of your VIN, which happens to be the 8th digit of the VIN. Look on your registration or look on your car and find the VIN. If the 8th digit is 2 you have the flex fuel Vulcan, if it's U you have the gasoline Vulcan, and if it's S you have the Duratec. All are 3.0L displacement, but the Vulcans are OHV and about 155 HP, and the Duratec is DOHC and about 200 HP.
