Shows are always nice to attend, if you lack inspiration,you leave the show with 82746 ideas,right? And stay upp until 04.a.m. doing mock-ups.. Been there ;)
So what if you didn`t get a trophy, It will only take up precious space in your cabinet..

Anyeay, nice sharing,always fun to look at show-pics.

I have no clue:lol: The show was soo close to my house too! Only like 20 minutes away! I am definitely attending it next year! The vendor area had soo much stuff!!! Only thing i needed was the money:(

The Subaru with the open door was my favorite! The guy even put a spiral notebook with notes and a pen on the passenger seat. The Engine was amazing! Another one of my favorites were the two Datsun's with Rotary engines in them. The guy was a pure pro! I asked him how he did the graphics on the sides and he said he did them with an airbrush!!! I wish my camera was better! And I also wish i would've taken an extra Memory Stick for pictures!

Great! Thanks for sharing the pics, Joeham. That yellow Integra made my day! Your blue hatch is just amazing, too, it looks better sitting out among other models. It is a shame it didn't get any more attention than it did! You and blubaja look to have made a fine showing. I think we should start making AF's presence known that these shows... we seem to have someone at all of them! Thanks again, for sharing.

That Smokey and the Bandit diorama is freaking awesome, so is the dusty impreza. I wish I could attend shows like this, if any come to the DFW area I've got to go.

There was a show in your area yesterday! The MCMA Showdown. You should PM 360Spider for club details. He was there yesterday w/his Ferraris, including the Lusso he just finished that's in the completed section.

Is that cool or what?! That model is by Henry Trent, president of ACME (he's a big guy w/long hair who was wearing a black ACME shirt at the show). We discussed converting the CGT to a coupe using the GT1 roof around the time Veyron did his CGT coupe using a Modena roof (and p9o1r1sche has since done one w/a Jaguar clear roof). He started his first, w/intentions for building it as a racer. He wants to do a Jaegermeister version next. I showed pics of the one I started, just the raw body w/the GT1 roof attached. Mine will be stock appearing and painted Porsche Polar Silver. To me, the GT1-style roof seems to fit the personality of the car so well because of the roof scoop and overall shape-it looks like a natural progression of the old GT1 car and most like a true Porsche, not to mention it looks tons better than the stock CGT which doesn't do a thing for me w/the strange engine cover, roll bar, and top configuration that just looks :screwy: to me. Someday I hope we can get a group shot of all of our CGT coupes.

That Carrera was soo well done that Frank and I stared at it for a good minute and actually wondered if the kit came like that!:lol: Its soo nicely put together! Hey i think thats the person i saw with the black ACME shirt:)

That has its good points and bad points. It really does look like it was molded this way, which is a great compliment to the builder. But many might not even know it's a conversion because it looks so natural. GTMike400 can attest to the conversion, he was there the day Henry did the intial bodywork to this CGT. It's really a simple conversion using Revell GT1 parts. They fit incredibly well, as if they were made for each other.

Scale Auto declined to photograph it, because it's so hard to make a black model look flattering w/standard photography.

My "stock" one will be Porsche Polar Silver, and Henry is threatening to do another one in different markings, perhaps in orange w/Jaegermeister decals. I told him to consider doing a white one w/Champion markings.

Hopefully soon, but I'm preoccupied w/the Fujimi Gallardo and Mini Cooper S right now, and a '62 Pontiac Grand Prix 421 SD resin conversion I got recently that would be awful nice to see on the tables at the Chattanooga show in April.

AHH!!! I was wondering whose that was. Beeeeeeeeeautiful!!!!! My brat is kindof in that color. Needs to be rep[ainted tho. Its all blotchy. Really nice man!!! The corvair is awsome too!!! I was wondering if you had built the motor for the brat. I tried to peek under the car, but couldnt tell. I love it!!!!

The Brat and the Corvair are cool (as are the trucks); the rims on the Corvair look great. I don't think I've ever seen a built and painted Brat before. I'm going to bastardize mine w/a new Revell WRX engine and other goodies :biggrin: . I wish AMT had done the later-model Brat w/the newer body though. Then I could build this:

yea I know, it was a rush job to get it done for the NNL. I had repainted it 4 times before. The Matalic Silver they molded it in keeped coming through when I tried to polish, The hood for sure is going to be reclear coated and polished, i'll prohibably just wax the rest of it. also, the motor is'nt done. it was missing the Air Cleaner when I took it becouse I was too lazy to paint it lol
