I ask, in hopes that someone can maybe point out something I am not seeing.
car 96 blazer s10 4x4

Here is my problem.
I am installing a used tranny from a bravada, should be the same transmission right. Tranny went it in fine, transfer case fine. I am almost done, when I try to install transfer case drive shaft....but it interferes with the tranny crossbar mount.? I have been working on this problem for 4 hours. can't figure this out? In order to clear I would have to raise the tranny/transfer case 1" to 1 1/2" to clear. Otherwise it rubs.
everything looks right, I even looked under friends truck, cant see what I am missing?

Its a 96 you have. You have to be using a 96-97 transmission to work properly. The 95 and down different, 98 and up different. Other than that, you should just have a bolt up and go.

Also, are you using your transfer case and axle, or the bravada's transfer case and or axle. The bravade had a full time four wheel drive system, and the blazer did not. The transfer cases are different internally, but I *think* dimensions are the same for the outer case. Did you match them up to make sure?

The transmission is from a 96 bravada.
I did not really match them up, visually they looked identical.
And everything bolted right up.

Thanks for the input,
I will try again tomorrow.

thanks again.

The is a spacer (tail housing) bolted to the end of the trans with four bolts is different from the blazer to the olds. It rotates the t-case down on the olds due to the awd. Just change the tail housings from one trans to the other and you should be good to go.
