Hello,
got a 97 C-1500 Silverado 350 auto 170,000mi with a intermitent starting problem. Engine rolls over fine I have spark and fuel coming out of the test connection when I hook a hose to it. Also I can hear the fuel pump kick on when the key is turned on. About a month ago the truck would not start and it was about 15 degrees out so just figured I had water in the fuel since I had filled up the previous day pushed it in the garage and heated the garage up after a few hours no problem truck started fine. Today the same problem just coughs on a couple of cylinders and does not start. Today it is about 38 degrees though so water in the fuel should not be a problem. I was searching the threads and most of them indicate a pass-key or vats problem. I do not believe I have a security system on this truck it has remote door openers but no remote start. I did not put a pressure gage on the fuel test connection just hooked a hose up and let it run into a jug seems like plenty of fuel comeing out though.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Fixed the problem... New cap rotor and wires, works fine. 170,000 on the original stuff not bad for a Chevy.
