plactic model paint on wood?

well i am wonding if i primer a co2 car that is made of wood if i could use plactic model paint on it?

Why not?

It should but the only problem you might have is the paint soaking into the wood so you may have to prime it several times before you paint it if you want the shininess that you see on most models...

Im building a CO2 car as well. Im just going to use Tamiya.

Getting a good, shiney finish on a pine car is going to require ALOT of woodworking before hand, and it would be much more difficult than doing it on plastic. pine is just way, WAY too grainy to give a good even shiney painted finish. But, hobby paint will work just fine. And, you don't need primer for adhesion, like you would on plastic. If you want to use something under the hobby paint, forget the primer and use a wood sealent.
