My rear window on my 02 sporttrac will not go up, it stops and goes back down after 3/4 being up. Anyone have a suggestions or does anyone know where the window motor is? And to think this was the selling feature when i bought it... ha ha

It was a HUGE incentive for me, too; don't feel bad. Oh, I'm shallow all right...but the window is still 'the shizzy'.
It sounds like it is either catching on something (checked the grooves on either side?) or its 'chain' drive is out of alignment.
If nothing's obviously blocking it, I hate to say this (particularly as a Do It Yourselfer since I was 16 years old for lack of funds, and now at 32 for lack of funds (I'm a cop, hey)), it'll require professional servicing. Getting to the motor assemply would be right up there for finding the Ark of the Covenant for me, and I just replaced my intake manifold gaskets.
Just saying.
Pray for it being a 'blockage'.
The only other option I can think of is a FAR OUT and -stupid- idea of taking off the negative terminal of the battery in desperate hope that the computer memory is somehow tied to the window motor control...but it's so doubtful, I may never have the guts to post here again.
