On my moms 93 deville her gas milleage has dropped drasticly it is just eating gas I noticed that when I drove it that it seems to be missing runs very rough, I was wondering if a new set of plugs, wires, distributor and rotor would help this out. any input would be great!! KC

Is the Check Engine Soon light on, if so run a diagnostic, that would help with it, if not chang out the plugs and wires first, then check out the distributor, The ignition module could be out of wack, and look for something that may be obvious like busted wires, or something maybe messed up, hope i was of some help.

I believe the 93 Deville has the OBD-I diagnostic system. Follow the below instructions and see what happens. Write down any codes and go to the following link: http://myweb.accessus.net/~090/dtcobd1.html
OPERATING ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM
To enter diagnostic mode:
1. Turn ignition "ON."
2. Depress the "OFF" and "WARMER" buttons on the Climate Control Center (CCC) simultaneously and hold until the segment check appears on the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC).
If you don't have the OBD-I system, you should be able to buy a code reader at PepBoys or some other parts store.
It sounds like fuel injector(s) could be faulty which is why the car is getting poor gas mileage. But, on the other hand, it could be a number of things, which is why you should first try to see if there are any trouble codes.
