As a new owner of a used 325i I need some help. Can someone tell me where the filter for the incoming air is? I understand that it is a charcoal filter that must be changed periodically for maximum efficence of the a/c etc. Thank you in advance----Bob

Well theres 2 different things your talking about here. Ones the cabin filter and ones the air filter. One is for the a/c and one is for the engine.

It sounds to me what your talking about is the Cabin Air Filter. It's located in the engine compartment way up by the firewall, it's long and narrow and held in place by a cover that has 2 spring loaded fastners. It's very easy to replace, cost about $40-$45 bucks.

On earlyer models its located behind the center consol and may require to remove the glove compartment

Thank you for your help. It was the cabin filter I was referring to. I'll have to look at the firewall to see if I can find the housing that holds the filter---Bob
