Why do people dislike Hondas so much? A few of my friends do it jokingly, but there are quite a few people who dislike them just because Honda has a good sized market and the immature people who think Americans should drive these SO CALLED American made cars.

Those people are just jealous that a 4 banger can open a can of import flavored whoop-a$$ and mop the floor with their riced out neon.

Ya know, I never could understand that either. I used to have a '94 Ford Ranger and when I was on the ranger board, they got into one of the import -vs- domestic wars. Someone made the comment "anyone who registers a Honda should be shot". WTF??? I should be shot because I want a good, attractive, reliable car, that's not going to leave me on the side of the road, and be dead at 150k miles??? Sorry, I'm a bit confused. I think some people just have a mindset that all Hondas = funky lookin' ricerockets. Not even close to being true. Sure there are alot of them out there, but when you look at the big picture at just how many Honda's have sold and how many are driving around, there's alot that are just normal cars like everything else on the road (just much better quality :) ) What the hell is wrong with that?
I used to work with a few people (who drove domestics with much lower mileage) that were always jokingly making fun of my car because it was a Honda, and the body wansn't in the greatest shape, yada yada. I just kinda ignored them. Well, you'll never guess who were the ones always complaining about their cars/trucks acting weird/breaking down/squeaking/rattling, etc, hehehehehe :p . I always got a good laugh out of that. With all the highway traveling I do, I've only seen 1 Honda on the side of the road. I see domestics (usually Chevys and Pontiacs, but an occasional variety) along the side of the road all the time, hehe. Me and my 286k mile Honda just fly on by :)
Anyways...I guess some people are just so narrow minded that they don't even want open their eyes and see the light. Oh well, I guess we'll always have those kind out there, and have to live with it
