I recently purchased an Integra for my brother inlaw. He had an Integra when he was younger and loved it. It's a 1990 GS M/Tran, A bad head gasket caused the previous owner to severly over heat the 1.8. The origional head was warped beyond resonable repair for a car of it's age. I went to a you pull it yard in the dead of a Minnesota winter expecting to pull an entire head. To the suprise of my already frozen fingers when I approached a 1991 Integra ? I noticed someone had already done the hard work. All that remained was a final bolt to seperate it from the intake. I installed the head after having it gone over at a machine shop. At first it didn't fire right and upon inspection found two missmatched wires from a prelude that weren't firing. New wires and what I deem as good spark still nothing. The car acts as though it wants to start and at times almost seems like it's going to pop, no such luck. I changed the oil after a few hours of trouble shooting and cranking it over it was thin as water, brown and full of gas. Dry cylinder walls maybe,I dropped a little oil in the spark plug hole and now when I turn the car over my compression tester rockets to 250 plus earlier I swear I had 130ish. After or while cranking for a bit smoke comes up around the sheild over the exaust manifold. Going crazy brother inlaw needs ride HELP PLEASE

There is a ground wire that connects to the thermostat housing. It is commonly left undone when repairs are made and that will allow for the ecu not to ground; hence, not starting. Other than that, have you checked your fuel pressure? Perhaps your fuel pressure regulator took a dump on you? I have never seen one go bad, but it is worth a shot. Also, the second gen distributor was a poor design, they actually recalled several of them on certain years/locations. It may have died out on you. If all else fails, thats an option as well.
