Fabulous! I love that deep maroon finish, and the engine bay is simply stunning. Which kit was it based on?
I need to find a way to get some genuine Ferrari paint flowing through your airbrush!

Model is based on Scale Kraft kit, 1/24 scale, painted with mix of Tamiya lacquers (Maroon and Bright red) through the airbrush. Leon, I would love to try some of hte authentic Ferrari lacquers. I need to take a look what you have there....

I'm not so keen about seeing that colour on any car to be honest, but on a Ferrari?... No complaints about that finish though and I'm happy you gave it a heart too. A Ferrari is not a Ferrari without an engine. Fantastic.

Would you rather see it in boring red? :-) This color is very similar to Rosso Rubino that was very popular for 60's Ferraris, and I think it looks great and suits the car's long flowing lines really well.
Thanks for all the comments, I appreciate it.

As if I haven't already loved everything you've built. :)
Really though, Alex, this is a phenomeonal Ferrari. It looks entirely perfect in color, stance, and detail.
What I'd really like to see you tackle, though, is replicating all three cars out of this picture.
http://www.maranello.cc/All.Ferraris/images/0452/maserati-mis-28.jpg
I think this just about represents the height of Italian motoring in the 60's (all right, all right, the Maserati should be a Ghibli, but who's keeping track?)

Really awesome work Alex. I totally admire your modelling skills. A few questions though, in your site you said that you use Last Detail Treatment model wax for the body, what company is it from? How long does the polishing take for you to get the shine? I'm using Gunze 1000 Rubbing Compound and Autosol Deep Shine Polish for my black Skyline and Ferrari 250 LM models but the shine is not even close like yours.
One more question, do you have any idea on where can I get a Ferrari 250 LM aftermarket engine? I have 2 of the GTO engine but it has been assembled and painted and I really don't want to mess it up only to cast an engine for the LM. Thanks.

Thanks.
The was is made by Last Detail, name of the wax is The Treatment. Time to polish really depends on the final paint surface.
As for the 250 LM engine, you can use pretty much any 250 V12 3 liter - our of 250 GTO for ex. You'll need 6 Weber carbs.

Don't know how I missed this, I didn't know you had posted the completed build on here.
I've read the buildup the other day on your website and I was in total awe. In all my life I've never seen such attention to detail.. You, are just a total "master" at building superb detail and perfect finished models. I just can't wait to see what your next "long" term project will be lilke. How you can better this is beyond me, however wouldn't surprise me if you do..!!
